ROUND FIVE :    9:00AM – 11:45 AM

LUNCH: 11:45AM – 12:45PM
ROUND SIX:   12:45 PM – 3:30PM

Each game will be a Matched Play 2000 point game using the 2024 Pariah Nexus GT Pack mission pack and rules.

Each game will be scored with the most current Grand Tournament scoring metrics.

Chess clocks are allowed and encouraged. Should one player at a table wish to use a chess clock both players must do so.

Rounds are 2h 45m long. At the start of the game split your time evenly removing 5 minutes to account for judge calls. Ie if you start with 2h 35m left give each player 1h 15m.

It is your joint responsibility to ensure the clock is managed correctly and on the correct players time. If you feel the clock is being mismanaged by your opponent please call a judge immediately for resolution

Should a players time reach zero they are unable to act. If they are in the middle of a turn they stop playing immediately. They may only make savings throws (no FNP’s) and morale tests. They may not fight back in combat, move, shoot, use command phase buffs or any other action requiring the player to make a decision. They may score objectives that they hold as well as any secondaries they are eligible to score. It is your obligation to complete your half of the game in a timely manner.

For the two rounds on the top 5 tables Chess Clocks will be mandatory and can be provided.

Once the game is complete, the results of the game can be input into the BCP app or reported to the tournament organizers.

The schedule for each round will be adhered to in order to maintain consistency. If scores are not reported to TO’s or inputted into BCP within five minutes of a round ending, both players will receive a score of zero and the pairings will proceed on as normal and on time.

If there are rules issues and questions that arise during a game, it is expected that they are resolved amicably and fairly between the players. The following decision path is suggested:

  • Refer to GW FAQ’s and Errata: https://www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/
  • Refer to the WTC Rules FAQ. They have ruled on a number of issues in relation to particular interactions. http://worldteamchampionship.com/wtc-rules/
  • Carefully review the exact wording of the ability, stratagem etc.
    • Make sure to reference the core rules in how this would be treated if it is phase dependent or linked to specific keywords
  • Call a Tournament Organizer to make a ruling.

It is highly encouraged to inquire about any potential contentious rules interactions prior to a game being played so a ruling can be made in advance.

Sportsmanship

It is expected that all players are accountable for their actions and conduct themselves accordingly. This is a social game that requires a partnership and understanding between the two players to play properly. One good reference is the ITC Code of Conduct as a guideline for expectations. All sportsmanship and conduct issues will be adjudicated by the tournament organizers. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any player from the game or event depending on the severity of the infraction.

  • Each game is standard GW scoring (Maximum 90 Points + 10 for Battle Ready if appropriate)
  • Pairing Players
    • First → By Record (i.e. the number of wins, losses and draws)
    • Second → By Win Path (i.e. the timing of the rounds in which a player won or lost their games)
    • Third → Randomly within players of the same ranking
  • Ranking Players
    • First → By overall record (wins, losses and draws)
    • Second → By Win Path (i.e. the timing of the rounds in which a player won or lost their games)
    • Third → By their opponents’ win records (i.e those with more wins against opponents with better win records would place higher)

It is the TO’s intention to provide a framework for players to ensure that every game is played under the best conditions possible. Considering this is the norm for events in Ontario, we have opted to use WTC Layouts. Regardless of the terrain set used, each table will have ten 12”x6” Area terrain sections including 4 Big and 6 Small ruins and 4 containers (2×2).
